Bølgepapp hos StampARTic

There has been quite a while since I have uploaded cards on my blog, and shame on me!!! There should have been several cards posted on my blog, but I seem to miss some hours a day the last months... Did you take them?! :-)

Anyway, we are having an article on StampARTic today about corrugated cardboard. Had a lot of fun plaing with it, and I mainly used corrugated cardboards from Jillibean soup. Love them, addicted to them and why don't I use them more often?!?!

Backgrounds are made with Dylusions sprays from Dyan Reaveley and Ranger Ink, and white marker is from American Craft. Stamps are of course from Dylusions designs as well :-) See, they are awesome to make cards with as well...johoooooooo!

Art Journaling with the ARTsy team!

Many of you know that I have been Art Journaling as a passion for several years, and that I have tried to influence my friends for ages :-) Anyway, Art Journaling is up and coming in Norway and I am HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

Today I wrote an article on StampARTic's blog, where I try to explain what Art Journaling is! That's so hard, as there is no rules and no definition on how it should be! But, THAT'S THE GREAT THING ABOUT IT, right?!

The first page is made for you who want to try, but do not have to courage to start one! I was thinking that in the beginning, and how could I make pages as beautiful as Suzi Blu's or Dyan Reaveley's. But, then I started thinking....are these pages for everybody else, or are they for ME?!?! Anyway, I have come to my senses, and I thank Suzi Blu and Dyan Reaveley for teaching me how to be my self in MY ART JOURNAL!

Second page is made for a VERY SPECIAL friend of mine, that struggles these days! "Hey baby, I wish I had your courage! I love you!"

Glad i deg 4 ever!!"

Twinkling H2O at StampARTic

I made these two cards for a article at StampARTic by the ARTsyteam, and I had so much fun making them. Sat together with a very good friend of mine, and we played with the motives from The Octopode Factory. I love these birds, and I promise you that first thing tomorrow I am going to buy them.

Card number 1 is made with lots of water on the background paper, and here I added twinkling H2O with a large waterbrush. It's easy and so fast to make a colorful and shimmering background. I used my heatgun to dry the background before I added stamps and motives. The tree stamp is designed by me for Kreativ Hobby, and the motives are as I mentioned above from The Octopode Factory designed by Lily. Text stamp is from Tim Holtz.

Card number 2 is made with adding water to a nonestick matt, and blending the twinkling H2O with a waterbrush. Then I laid the background paper on top, and did this until I got the wanted result. Chipboard is added on to the background with multi-medium and colored with H2O and rub-ons colors that I bought at HOBBYKUNST. Flowers is also from HOBBYKUNST, and are from the line Mathia.

StampARTic is open after Summer Break...

...and the ARTsy-team has the honor to open the show :-)

Have to admit that 4th of August came a little bit to fast, and that I had to rush my card. Also has to admit that I am not that happy with my card, but not to unhappy either :-) I just bought a lot of stamps from Unity Stamps designed by Suzi Blu. Love the stamps, and I have the feeling that you will see a lot of stamps from that collection in my blog in the time to come :-)

Thank you, Suzi Blu and Unity Stamps, for designing so COOL stamps :-)

UTEE-tutorial...

As many of you know, I am on the designteam for StampARTic's ARTsy-team and we made a tutorial on UTEE a short while ago. Above is one of my cards, and I have added UTEE to a cardboard heart. To color the heart I have used gold rub-ons :-) You can find the tutorial here!

MASKs with the ARTsyteam

Playing with masks is fun, and this mask is from Heidi Swapp design. I have only applied StazOn ink with the blending tool, and "voila" you have spots on your background. Easy, fun and not time consuming at all :-) This card is made for an article on StampARTic with masks and stenciles as theme, and you can read it here!

Artsy challenge this week is to make a mosaic card, and here's what I made for that challenge...

The background is made of die cuts and magic mesh glued to a piece of paper. Cover everything with white acrylic paint, and do this several times to get everything covered! Use your heatgun if you want this to go faster! After that I used my blending tool and added StazOn in different colors to the background.

Artsy utfordring

It's Wednesday and a new challenge from Artsy. The challenge was to follow a scetch, and make the background our selves. My background is mad of newspaper, old bookpages, gel medium, gesso and distress ink. Stamps from Tim Holtz, of course!

Artsy blogg - utfordring #2

This tag is made based on the new challenge on Artsy :-) Make a tag or a card, that's inspired by Tim Holtz!

I started by dripping some alcohol ink on a non-sticksheet, and rolling through the ink by using a brayer. Apply this directly on to the tag, and cover the whole tag. Then, I used two of Tim Holtz' tools to roughen up the surface and the edges a bit. After I did that, I used the hammer on the letters, and added the Christmas tree and the grungeboard. Please learn more about Tim Holtz here!

Ny artsy blogg

Here's my contribution to this weeks Artsy challenge. This is a new blog, where I am so lucky to be asked to join the Design Team. Hope that my cards can inspire you to make your own artsy cards. I love everything about artsy :-)

I began with gluing (gel medium) newspaper to a peace of cardboard. After that, I added acrylic paint to the background, red and brown. This had to dry for a while (, or you can dry it with a heatgun). After that, I glued a piece of old bookpaper to the background, and stampt directly on the the background. The hearts are drawn on to the background by hand, and colored with watercolor crayons. Main motive is stamped on to another paper, and glued on to the background. I have colored it with watercolor crayons, as well. Stamps are from Stampotique and Art Impressions. I have used word and printet out the words.
